A Christmas gift from us to you

You've brought connection to so many. Now we want to give back...

The holiday season is all about connection – those little moments that bring us closer together. Whether it’s laughter around the table, stories shared over dessert, or a quiet chat that means a lot, these are the things that make Christmas feel special.

This Christmas, we wanted to give you something to help bring people together – something that sparks connection, laughter, and a few heart warming stories.

The gift that gets everyone talking

Meet our Christmas Conversation Starter Cards – a free, downloadable deck of prompts designed to get everyone talking (and maybe giggling) around the table.

From fun icebreakers to thoughtful reflections, these cards are perfect for family gatherings, holiday dinners, road trips, or lazy afternoons by the tree.

Example questions include:

  • What was the best advice you ever got as a young person?
  • What’s your favourite memory from the past year?
  • Take turns saying your best “ho, ho, ho!” (deepest voice wins!)
  • Who’s the first person you’d invite to stay in the Prize Home with you?

Share your hope for young people

The holiday season is a time for reflection and hope. But for some young people, the it can feel lonely or overwhelming. When connection seems out of reach, Kids Helpline is there to listen – day or night, no matter what.

Thanks to the incredible support of our Art Union ticket buyers, we can continue to be there for young people when they need someone the most.

Every year, we invite our community to share a message of encouragement, love, or hope for young people across Australia.

Maybe it’s a wish or hope you have for young people. Maybe it’s a story about why you started supporting. Or simply a reminder of why having someone to listen means so much — especially at Christmas.

Whatever your reason, we’d love to hear it. Add your voice below and help create a message of gratitude and hope that reminds young people they’re never alone.

Together, we can make this Christmas brighter – one conversation, one smile, and one hopeful message at a time.

"My hope is that young people find joy, love, and support"

Bonus: printable activities for kids

For families with younger children, we’ve worked with our Kids Helpline team to create some special bonus counsellor-approved activity sheets.

Based on Kids Helpline’s popular Mood Critters – a suite of animals designed by counsellors to help children learn, identify and understand their own emotions, these exclusive resources are not only entertaining – they're great tools for developing emotional intelligence in children.

The sheets are filled with fun festive prompts, colouring sections, and mini challenges to keep little hands busy (and big smiles all around).
