Spend a day at Tallebudgera Creek with the kids

There aren't many things better than spending a day at Tallebudgera Creek. With plenty of shade and sand, Tallebudgera Creek is the perfect place for a picnic amongst the trees.

Tally is great for watersports  along the creek, you'll find a couple of places where you can rent a paddleboard, kayak or canoe.

Parents will love the clear and shallow waters for the kids to swim in, with the safe beach-side swimming area patrolled every day of the year.

Whether you're picnicking amongst the trees, going for a swim, renting a paddleboard or kayak, or fishing, there's something for the whole family.

Hike, swim and picnic at Springbrook National Park

Springbrook National Park is a playground for all the kids, big and small. This World Heritage-listed national park offers seemingly endless waterfalls to chase, plenty of hiking trails for all abilities, and campsites and picnic tables with stunning views.

If you're looking for the best walking tracks for kids, we'd recommend the Best of All lookout track and the Boojerahla lookout track, or the Cascades track if you're after something a bit longer.

For something slightly more challenging, the Natural Bridge circuit takes you around the iconic rock formation. Purling Brook Falls circuit and the Twin Falls circuit can take a little longer, but you'll be rewarded with views of misty waterfalls.

Tee off at Meadow Park Golf Course

Meadow Park Golf Course is a 9-hole golf course, open to everyone of all ages and abilities. The facilities also include a putting green and two driving nets, along with an eatery serving up lunch classics like burgers and toasted sandwiches.

Explore Schuster Park

This accessible park is a haven for both kids and parents, with 68 acres of things to climb, walking trails, an off-leash dog area and a section of sandy beach to launch a kayak from.

Keep your eyes peeled for all the different birdlife, or look up into the trees to see if you can spot a koala.

Dining in Tallebudgera

Greenhouse Canteen & Bar is a beautiful eatery focused on plant-based whole food, with menu offerings like sticky oyster mushrooms and jackfruit nachos.

If the coast has you craving some fresh seafood, Tally Valley Seafood is the place to be. This highly-rated, old-school fish and chip shop has a great range of seafood, which you can buy fresh or have cooked for you.

Wicked Beans Cafe is a takeaway-only cafe with a drool-worthy cabinet full of snacks to-go, from muffins and donuts to brekky wraps and roast pies.

Tallebudgera is on the lands of the Yugambeh language people. Tallebudgera is an Aboriginal word said to mean “good fish” and derived from “talle” meaning “fish” and “budgerie” meaning “good”.
